75 Years Ago—24 May 1944: US II Corps takes Terracina in Italy unopposed, opening Highway 7 to Anzio.
Sending you a photo from the Barksdale AFB , LA paper printed 1944 Sept. It’s about my godfather ( psst: he’s actually my bio-Dad) while based in Tunisia, it tells how he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross ( with a V) at age 22or 23., plus a couple other missions over Italy.
Wonderful! Thank you so much.
